Welcome back to the 2023 Fiber Flux Fall Crochet Along Week 3…hooray! Today marks week three of the CAL and today we’ll be making the cute pumpkins for our Crochet Pumpkin Tower! This is a gorgeous fall statement of stacked pumpkins and would make a lovely autumn centerpiece!
We will be going over a few things today to begin:
- Crocheting the leaves
- Crocheting the stem
- Schedule of the CAL
- Where to connect with other CAL makers
The CAL will be divided over the next few weeks, so we’ll tackle each part of the crochet pumpkin tower bit by bit. Scroll down for the schedule with actual dates and what we’ll be doing on each day/week of the Fiber Flux Fall Crochet Along!

Here is a quick video for the Fiber Flux Fall Crochet Along Week 3:
One Round Leaf (shown in both orange and green):
- Chain 4
- Join in the chain furthest from the hook with a slip stitch to make a ring.
- Round 1: in the center of the ring work (6 dc, 4 sc, 1 tr, 4 sc).
- Join to close the round with a slip stitch
- Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing onto the pumpkin later.
Stem:
- Chain 8
- Row 1: work a sc in the second ch from the hook, work a sc in each chain across
- Row 2: Ch 1 and turn. Sc in the next stitch and in each stitch across.
- Fasten off leaving a long tail for seaming.
- Fold rectangle in half and seam up the sides (leave the bottom open for stuffing)
- Stuff with fiberfill.
- Leave tail intact for sewing to the pumpkin later.
Done! Save these for next week of the CAL where we’ll assemble everything we’ve done so far.
