The High Desert Crochet Earrings are a fun and super easy way to add a little fun to any outfit! Easy to make circles are accented with a pretty wood bead and a fun tassel. Crochet up a pair quick as a flash for you and a friend too!

Materials:
- E (3.5 mm) crochet hook
- 2 skeins of cotton DMC floss in any two colors (I used a terra cotta color for the circle and aqua for the tassel)
- Yarn/tapestry needle (smaller one for embroidery floss)
- Two earring post style earring backs with backs
- 2 wood beads, one per earring
- Hot glue gun (craft glue ok too as an alternative)
- Scissors
- Measuring Tape
Sizing:
- 3 inches total height
- Circles are about 1 inch tall
Pattern Notes:
- Omit the tassel or trim it shorter for a smaller earring.
- Experiment with different colors or different beads for a bunch of fun effects!
Instructions:
Crochet Circle (make 2):
Ch 4, then join in the furthest ch with a sl st to form a loop.
Round 1: Ch 2, then work 24 hdc into the center of the ring.
Tassels (make 2):
Cut two pieces of floss 12 inches long. Wrap floss around two fingers 8 times. Carefully slide the bundle off your fingers and tie the top with one of the pieces of floss. Tie around the tassel about 1/4 of the way down from where you tied the top. Trim the loops at the bottom and trim straight across to neaten it up. If needed weave in the side tails, but leave the top tails intact.
Earring Assembly:
Thread a wood bead onto the top of the tassel, then tie the tassel to the bottom of the circle. Weave in any ends. Hot glue the earring back to the back top edge of the circle. Repeat for the other earring. Your High Desert Crochet Earrings are ready to wear, happy crocheting lovelies!
