The sizing as pictured is:
- Unseamed rectangle: 14 inches wide and 36 inches long
- Seamed Cowl: 21 inches across the front at its widest points and 14 inches from the bottom front point up the front side
Below you’ll see multiples to make your cowl wider, you can also make the rectangle longer by working more row of the pattern too.
Instructions for the cowl rectangle (we’ll seam it next week):
Ch 58 (multiple of 6+4)
Row 1: In the 4th chain from the hook, work a dc. Work a dc in each ch across.
Row 2: Ch 2 and turn. Skip the first dc, then *work a fpdc in each of the next 3 sts. Work a bpdc in each of the next three stitches. Repeat from * across to the end of the row. In the top ch of the turning ch, work a dc.
Row 3: Repeat row 2.
Row 4: Ch 2 and turn. Skip the first dc, then *work a bpdc in each of the next 3 sts. Work a fpdc in each of the next three stitches. Repeat from * across to the end of the row. In the top ch of the turning ch, work a dc.
Row 5: Repeat row 4.
Repeat rows 2-5 (be sure to end on row 5 for the most finished look) until piece measures approximately 36 inches long.
