How To Make A Yarn Bouquet, Tutorial + Video

Yarn Bouquet

Looking for a perfect and lovely presentation for a yarn lover in your life?  A yarn bouquet makes a gorgeous and thoughtful gesture to give the gift of yarn!  Gift it all by itself or along with a knit or crochet book, handmade treat, or even a gift card to a craft store too!

Yarn Bouquet

Perfect for birthdays, Mother’s Day, holidays, Valentine’s Day or no reason at all!! It is super quick to make and many of the items you may already have on hand too.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Yarn balls or skeins ( I used Red Heart Smoothie in Bright Pink, Lemony, Bright Orange, and Aqua) Try using bright and happy colors like I did to represent “flowers” or in your recipients favorite colors too.
  • Tissue paper (I used bright green)
  • Cellophane wrapping (optional, I used this for the outer wrapping to add a little extra)
  • Ribbon (I used a fun hot pink polka dot grosgrain ribbon to match the fun color theme of the bouquet)
  • Scissors
  • Sticks to create stems (can be dowel rods, knitting needles, chop sticks, shawl sticks, crochet hooks, etc. Anything to act like “stems” to hold the yarn balls in place-get creative!)
  • Decorative items to embellish the outside such as stitch markers, pins, pom poms, tassels, etc.
