Our annual granny stashdown challenge has reached its end! What a fun year it has been! What is the granny stashdown challenge you may be wondering? Each year, we gather up all of our yarn odds and ends, toss them into a bin and get working on a lovely granny square blanket! It’s easy, it’s fun, and it uses up SO much yarn!

We have been using a big 10 mm hook and I’m holding multiple strands of yarn (4 and 5 strands of yarn throughout!). The result is a gloriously colorful, unique blanket! We began with this:
And it’s grown,
And grown some more!
And look at it now!
If you’re doing the stashdown with us, we have two special communities for makers! Each has a welcome area/thread, so please hop on and say hello! You can get info, ask questions, help each other, see what everyone is doing, and show off your work too!
Although we’ll be wrapping this up at the end of the year, we do one every year, so be sure to check out the 2023 Stashdown challenge in January too! This is a project that can really be started anytime you like! Come crochet a beautiful granny (or grannies!) with us and let the de-stashing begin!
