Love Letters Crochet Shawl


  • 5.0 mm H crochet hook
  • 1146 yards of worsted weight weight yarn, (I used 6 balls of Amigo yarn from Hobbii in the #50 colorway)  *Note: if you are changing sizing, yarn amounts will change too.
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors
  • Tape measure

Love Letters Crochet Shawl


  • 27 inches wide
  • 60 inches long
  • See below for multiples and repeats if you’d like to change the width or length of your shawl.
Love Letters Crochet Shawl


(Multiple of 4 + 2)

Ch 90

Row 1: dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in next ch, *(1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc) in next ch, skip 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the next 2 ch, repeat from * 1 dc in the last ch.

Row 2: Ch 5 and turn. Work *(3 dc, ch 3, 1 dc) in the ch 3 sp, repeat from * then 3 dc in 3rd ch of t-ch. 

Row 3: Ch 5 and turn. Work *(3 dc, ch 3, 1 dc) in the ch 3 sp, repeat from * then 3 dc in 5th ch of t-ch. Repeat row 3 until 30 inches long.

Repeat row 3 until your shawl is as long as you like (the shawl shown is 60 inches long).


Weave in any ends that remain and it’s ready to wear!
