Well, I went and did it.  I got more yarn for my stash…I am seriously running out of space!  If it is super pretty and soft, it doesn’t count right?  That’s my justification and I’m sticking to it!

The three on top are “Capra” from Knit Picks, a cashmere and merino wool blend…simply divine.  Colors left to right: Velveteen, Cream, and Fairy Tale.  The one on the bottom is called Preciosa in the “Mulled” colorway.  It is a scrumptious merino wool and reminds me a whole, whole lot of Malabrigo, one of my most favorite yarns in the universe.  I think I have a thing for single ply yarn these days.

Here it is close up…fabulous, right?

Oh, and I finally got a new “N” hook, I’ve been wanting a wooden one for a while, this one is extra pretty.  My metal one is getting to be in bad shape and snags my yarn every so often.

One more thing…something I’ve been wanting for a while, a shawl stick!  I love this one, it’s really simple, but elegant too.

Have a really lovely and cozy weekend everyone!

  1. Life is too short not to buy nice yarn, I am not ever going on a yarn diet again, yarn is way too important to my mental sanity. I love your color choices and the hook and shawl pin, I have two and I love them.

  2. Wow this is crazy! I just went with my mom and sister yesterday to a knitting shop. I bought some bamboo yarn and my mom bought a merino and cashmere blend! Now I am just looking for patterns. (: Which reminds me, would you consider posting a slouchy beanie/tam pattern? Your patterns are easier for me to follow!

    1. Thank you so much for your kind comment! I have way too much yarn, and can't seem to stop buying it! Maybe we should start a support group! 🙂
