style=\"text-align: left;\">Hoop earrings (you can upcycle an existing pair or make your own using hoops, jump rings, and ear wires).<\/li>\n<li data-blogger-escaped-style=\"text-align: left;\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><font data-blogger-escaped-style=\"text-align: center;\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><font color=\"#222222\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"background-color: white; color: #222222;\" style=\"background-color: white;\">Scissors (the sharper, the better)<\/font><\/font><\/li>\n<li data-blogger-escaped-style=\"text-align: left;\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Small\/narrow tapestry needle<\/li>\n<li data-blogger-escaped-style=\"text-align: left;\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><font color=\"#222222\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"color: #222222;\"><font data-blogger-escaped-style=\"background-color: white;\" style=\"background-color: white;\">Optional: a small amount of clear glue to &#8220;set&#8221; the knots to keep them from coming apart and to data-blogger-escaped-style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<ul>\n<li data-blogger-escaped-style=\"color: black;\"><font face=\"verdana\" size=\"5\">For each earring, you&#8217;ll make 8 tassels (I used four colors, 2 tassels per color).&nbsp; So for the set, a total of 16 tassels, 4 per color.<\/font><\/li>\n<li data-blogger-escaped-style=\"color: black;\"><font face=\"verdana\" size=\"5\">Cut 16 pieces of floss, each 6 inches long.&nbsp; Be sure each strand matches each tassels, I did an ombre theme, but feel free to choose any color scheme you like!<\/font><\/li>\n<li data-blogger-escaped-style=\"color: black;\"><font face=\"verdana\" size=\"5\">To make the first tassel, Wrap the floss four times around three fingers.Remove from your fingers and lay floss down.&nbsp; Lay the earring in the middle and fold in half.<\/font><\/li>\n<li data-blogger-escaped-style=\"color: black;\"><font face=\"verdana\" size=\"5\">Grab one of the 6 inch strands you cut earlier and tie it around the &#8220;bundle&#8221; up against the bottom of the earring.<\/font><\/li>\n<li data-blogger-escaped-style=\"color: black;\"><font face=\"verdana\" size=\"5\">Repeat for the rest of the tassels on the hoop, for a total of 8 tassels on the hoop.<\/font><\/li>\n<li data-blogger-escaped-style=\"color: black;\"><font face=\"verdana\" size=\"5\">Note as you are tying and assembling, be sure the knots are all in the back of the earring.<\/font><\/li>\n<li data-blogger-escaped-style=\"color: black;\"><font face=\"verdana\" size=\"5\">Cut the bottom loops of each tassel.<\/font><\/li>\n<li data-blogger-escaped-style=\"color: black;\"><font face=\"verdana\" size=\"5\">Trim bottoms of each tassel neatly across so that all ends are uniform.<\/font><\/li>\n<li data-blogger-escaped-style=\"color: black;\"><font face=\"verdana\" size=\"5\">If you like, you can add a little bit of clear glue to the back of the earring to set the knots and smooth the strands down.&nbsp; Make sure you do this to the back, and not the front.<\/font><\/li>\n<li data-blogger-escaped-style=\"color: black;\"><font face=\"verdana\" size=\"5\">Let the glue completely dry.<\/font><\/li>\n<li data-blogger-escaped-style=\"color: black;\"><font face=\"verdana\" size=\"5\">When both pairs are done drying, try laying them on top of one another to be sure the length of the tassels is the same on each earring.<\/font><\/li>\n<li data-blogger-escaped-style=\"color: black;\"><font face=\"verdana\" size=\"5\">Repeat for the other earring and you&#8217;re ready to wear
