I made this cute pin the other day for my coat to welcome February in all its heart filled glory. I used my pattern for “One Round Hearts” and used some pretty buttons I had on hand:

Click here for Tiny One Round Hearts Pattern!

Here’s what you’ll need to make you own brooch/pin:

Start by crocheting 5 hearts…I made mine with worsted weight yarn (Cascade 220) and an H hook. I experimented with some heavier/thicker yarn and it made the brooch way too big.

Then, cut a circle with your scrap (I used leftovers from this project). It won’t show so it’s not terribly important that it is not the same color. Before gluing everything arrange the hearts to test everything first and make sure the circle is the right size…you may have to trim it a bit.

With a glue gun or fabri-tac, glue the hearts in a circle onto the fabric. There will be a hole in the middle, so a button is in order….

I stacked a few because I liked the way these looked together. It took a little bit of fiddling, but I eventually got the combination I liked best.

When you’re finished, you can glue a pin backing onto the back of your creation.

Just to give you an idea of size, here’s how it looks in my hand…

And on my coat…loving this sweet little pin!
