<\/a><\/p>\n This pretty garland will add a bit of sweetness anywhere you choose to hang it. Small two-round granny squares are topped off with lovely roses and are connected easily for hanging. <\/span><\/p>\n Granny Rosette Garland<\/span><\/p>\n By Jennifer Dickerson<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Materials:<\/span><\/p>\n Sizing:<\/span><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Instructions for granny squares:<\/span><\/p>\n Click here for a photo tutorial…<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Chain 4, join into a ring with a slip stitch. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Round 1: Chain 4, work (3 dc into center of ring, chain 1) 3 times, then 2 dc into center of ring. Join to close with a slip stitch. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Note: <\/span><\/p>\n Now if you want to make round 2 in the same color, simply slip stitch until you reach a ch1 at the corner and keep going. If you want to switch colors…cut yarn, leaving a tail, and fasten it with a slip stitch. Join the new yarn at one of the corners as shown and tie securely. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Round 2: To work the corner of round 2, first chain 4, then 2 dc in same space, then chain 1, then 3 dc in the same space…first corner done!<\/span><\/p>\n Then chain 1, then work the next corner by working 3 dc in next space, chain 1, then 3 dc in same space, chain 1, repeat two more times to complete the round. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Instructions for Roses:<\/span><\/p>\n Click here for photo tutorial…<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Chain 12, dc in 4th chain from hook, then work 1 more dc in that same chain. Work 3 dc in each chain until you reach the end. The flower will coil up on it own as you work, then fasten off and seam it together.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n With yarn leftovers of the same color, sew roses to squares. You can sew one to each square or one every couple of squares like I did. Weave in any ends.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n\n
